Israel detains Air Force soldiers in suspected spy network
Two Israeli Air Force servicemen have been arrested on suspicion of spying for Iran, according to a report by i24news.
The two suspects have been in custody for approximately one month. Investigators believe they may have cooperated with Iranian counterparts over an extended period, including during their military service.
According to the report, the case may not be isolated but part of a broader network. At the early stages of the investigation, additional servicemen were detained, including personnel from sensitive units such as air defence. Their cases have since been transferred to the military prosecutor’s office.
The investigation further suggests that the two main suspects acted under the direction of Iranian intelligence services. Authorities believe they used their positions within the Israeli Air Force to pass on sensitive information, including details related to military systems, locations, and high-ranking individuals.
