Israel detains Hamas, Islamic Jihad commanders in Al-Shifa Hospital operation
In a recent operation conducted by the Israeli army and the General Security Service (Shabak) at Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, several high-ranking members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad were apprehended.
As Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF Press Service, those detained included the deputy commander of the Islamic Jihad rocket unit, as well as individuals holding senior positions within the military wing of Hamas.
Additionally, "senior operatives of the Ministry of Internal Security and Hamas emergency committees" were among those captured.
Notably, the detainees also comprised numerous Hamas military intelligence operatives, including Ashraf Ibrahim Samour, the deputy head of the military intelligence information directorate.
The operation signals a significant blow to the leadership and operational capabilities of Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, as Israeli forces continue to target key figures within these organizations.
