Israel detains three IDF soldiers, civilian over alleged Iran espionage plot
Israeli authorities have detained four people, including three Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers and one civilian, on suspicion of spying for Iran.
The suspects are accused of gathering and transferring sensitive information to Iranian contacts. According to the investigation, the group allegedly photographed and documented locations including railway stations, shopping centres, surveillance camera systems, and an Israeli Air Force technical school where some of the suspects had studie, Israeli media reports.
The report also alleges that several of the detainees were in direct contact with Iranian operatives and carried out assignments on their behalf. Some suspects are additionally accused of participating in acts of vandalism linked to the alleged espionage activity.
