Israel dismantles six Iranian missile launchers minutes before planned strike

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that its air force, acting on intelligence from the Israeli Intelligence Directorate, dismantled six Iranian ballistic missile launchers on March 5, just minutes before they were reportedly set to be fired toward Israel.

In the same operation, the IDF said three advanced Iranian air defence systems were also neutralised. The military described the strikes as part of a broader, systematic effort under the ongoing Operation Rising Lion to weaken Iran’s missile and defense capabilities, Caliber.Az reports. 

According to the IDF, these preemptive actions are intended to prevent imminent threats to Israeli territory and degrade Tehran’s ability to conduct future missile attacks.
