Israel eliminates senior Hezbollah commander in southern Lebanon VIDEO
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the elimination of senior Hezbollah commander Mohammed Khader al-Husseini in a precision airstrike carried out in the Shabriha area near the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.
According to a statement by the IDF, al-Husseini served as the commander of Hezbollah’s firepower unit in the Litani River region and played a central role in directing multiple rocket and artillery attacks on northern Israeli cities, including Nahariya, Haifa, and other surrounding areas, Caliber.Az reports.
The IDF noted that al-Husseini had been instrumental in orchestrating Hezbollah’s cross-border operations during the ongoing conflict and was actively engaged in efforts to reconstitute the group’s rocket artillery capabilities. These actions, the military said, constituted a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire agreements intended to prevent further escalation along the Israel-Lebanon border.
“During the war, Husseini led numerous rocket attacks on Nahariya, Haifa and other northern towns,” the IDF stated, describing the airstrike as a critical blow to Hezbollah’s operational infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
