Poland says it has no territorial claims against Ukraine

Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Maciej Wewiór has rejected suggestions that Poland has territorial ambitions toward Ukraine, reaffirming its full support for Ukraine's sovereignty and internationally recognised borders.

Sharing a post on X, he said “Poland has not had, does not have, and will not have any territorial claims against Ukraine,” Caliber.Az reports.

The statement came after Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the possible future division of Ukraine.

Wewiór noted that Poland's position remains unchanged, stressing that the government “fully support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.”

The remarks followed comments made by Putin during a meeting with military personnel on July 26, in which he said Ukraine would sooner or later lose its western territories and that lands once belonging to Poland, Hungary, and Romania would historically return to their rightful place.
