Israel eliminates three militants crossing “Yellow Line” near Khan Younis
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) units, supported by the Air Force, have eliminated three militants who crossed the “Yellow Line” in the Khan Younis area in southern Gaza.
The IDF spokesperson’s office said the incidents occurred separately, noting that the targets were successfully engaged, Caliber.Az reports
The "Yellow Line" refers to a temporary boundary in Gaza, drawn as part of Phase 1 of the Trump administration's 20-point Gaza peace plan announced on September 29, 2025. This line delineates approximately 53% of Gaza under IDF control (primarily eastern Rafah, half of Khan Younis, and sections of the Philadelphi Corridor along the Egypt border) from the remaining territory held by Hamas and other groups.
The demarcation was established to facilitate phased IDF withdrawals, hostage releases, and aid flows while allowing Israel to retain oversight of key security zones.
