Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan target $200 million trade as leaders sign deals

Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan have agreed to strengthen political and economic ties and aim to increase bilateral trade to $200 million within the next one to two years, following talks between Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Bishkek.

The two leaders discussed expanding political dialogue and trade and economic cooperation, as well as advancing joint projects in the transport and energy sectors, Caliber.Az reports via Kyrgyz media.

Sharif said the two countries intend to move from agreements to the practical implementation of joint projects and addressed regional and international issues with Japarov.

Following the talks, the leaders signed a Joint Statement.

Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan also signed 15 bilateral documents, including a 2026–2027 cooperation program between their foreign ministries.
