Israel eliminates two senior Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon VIDEO
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced the targeted killing of two senior Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon on September 29.
According to the IDF, Mohammad Abbas Shashoua, involved in artillery operations in the Sohmor area, was eliminated.
The military stated that Shashoua had been responsible for multiple rocket attacks targeting Kiryat Shmona and the Golan Heights, and was reportedly involved in reestablishing militant infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
Separately, Muhammad Hussein Yassin, described by the IDF as a senior member of Hezbollah’s artillery unit in the Shaqif area, was also killed.
The military said Yassin had participated in attacks against the Galilee panhandle and Kiryat Shmona, helped rebuild militant sites, and was involved in weapons smuggling south of the Litani River.
The IDF stated that these activities violated understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
