Israel embassy calls for response after incident in Kyiv centre
25 June 2026 12:37
The Embassy of Israel in Ukraine has expressed outrage over a nationalist rally held in central Kyiv on June 21, during which participants reportedly chanted Nazi slogans and used related gestures.
“On June 21, an event organised by the ‘Brotherhood’ association took place at Independence Square in Kyiv. Its participants shouted Nazi greetings and demonstrated the Nazi salute. We express concern over this event, which dishonours the memory of millions of victims of Nazism. We hope for a prompt response from law enforcement agencies of Ukraine in accordance with Ukrainian law,” the embassy said in a statement posted on Facebook.
No official response from Ukrainian authorities has been issued so far.
