Israel exposes media network linked to Hamas
Israel’s internal security service, Shin Bet, has identified five media outlets that it says were operated by militants from Hamas, according to an announcement by Defence Minister Israel Katz, cited by Israeli media.
The outlets — Quds Plus, Maidan al-Quds, Al-Quds al-Bawsala, Al-Maaraj and Al-Asima — were presented as independent media organisations but allegedly functioned as part of a coordinated network directed by Hamas leadership.
The investigation, conducted over several months, found that the platforms operated across multiple digital channels, including websites, Facebook pages, WhatsApp groups, YouTube channels, and widely followed accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Telegram.
Authorities said the outlets were used to disseminate content aimed at inciting tensions among Arab citizens of Israel, acting under direct instructions from Hamas command structures.
