Israel faces Hezbollah's most intense attack since conflict's onset
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have confirmed that between 10:00 and 12:00 on July 4, approximately 160 rockets and over 15 drones were launched from Lebanon towards Israel.
This marks the most severe assault since the conflict began in October 2023, Caliber.Az reports citing IDF's press service.
While some missiles and UAVs were intercepted (specific interception numbers were not disclosed), interceptions notably occurred against missiles targeting Mount Dov and drones near Katzrin.
In response, the IDF initiated a series of retaliatory strikes against Lebanese targets.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching over 200 rockets and dozens of armed drones within ninety minutes, targeting northern Israel.
Hezbollah has launched a retaliatory attack after announcing the death of Muhammad Nimah Nasser, also known as “Hajj Abu Naameh,” a top commander killed in an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon.
This marks at least the third high-ranking official from the group killed during nearly nine months of ongoing cross-border conflict, heightening concerns of broader regional escalation.
