Israel hits multiple Hezbollah sites, citing terror plot preparations
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have carried out a series of strikes on Hezbollah facilities in southern Lebanon, targeting training compounds and additional military infrastructure.
“A short while ago, the IDF struck a training and qualification compound used by Hezbollah's Radwan Force to conduct training and courses for the organization's terrorists,” the statement said, Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF press service.
The IDF added that a separate Hezbollah training compound had been struck earlier in the week, and that an additional facility was targeted today. According to the military, terrorists at these sites underwent shooting exercises and training in the use of various weapons “intended for planning and executing terrorist attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.”
As part of the latest operation, the IDF, “guided by IDF intelligence,” also struck additional Hezbollah military infrastructure in multiple locations across southern Lebanon.
The statement emphasized that the presence of such training activities and the establishment of terrorist infrastructure designed to target Israel constitute “a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and a threat to the State of Israel.”
“The IDF will continue to operate in order to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel,” the military concluded.
