Israel intercepts weapon-laden drone at western border

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) successfully intercepted a drone attempting to smuggle weapons across the country’s western border on February 18.

The drone was detected by the military’s aerial surveillance systems and border observers as it crossed into Israeli territory carrying firearms, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.

After being spotted, IDF forces moved quickly to intercept the unmanned aircraft. Authorities discovered three M-16 rifles on board, which were subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation.

The operation highlights Israel’s ongoing efforts to prevent illegal arms smuggling and maintain security along its borders.
