Israel kills five senior Hamas members After ceasefire violation
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have killed five senior Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip in response to the group’s violation of the ceasefire.
The statement was made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to an Israeli Telegram channel.
“Today, Hamas once again violated the ceasefire by sending a terrorist into Israeli-controlled territory to attack IDF soldiers. In response, Israel eliminated five senior Hamas terrorists,” Netanyahu said.
“Israel is fully adhering to the ceasefire, while Hamas is not,” he added. The remarks were released by the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to Netanyahu, “throughout the entire ceasefire period, dozens of Hamas terrorists crossed Israeli lines in attempts to attack Israeli forces.”
“We again call on the mediators to insist that Hamas fulfill its part of the ceasefire agreement and President [U.S.] Donald Trump’s 20-point plan,” he continued, stressing that Hamas “must immediately return the remains of three slain hostages, complete its own disarmament process, and ensure the full demilitarization of the Gaza Strip.”
