Israel launches 310 strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its troops continue to operate simultaneously across three arenas of operation, targeting militant groups and addressing security threats to Israeli civilians.

In a statement summarizing military activity over the past week, the IDF reported that approximately 310 strikes were carried out against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of around 80 Hezbollah militants.

According to the military, the Israeli Air Force conducted the strikes under the direction of forces operating within the Northern Command. The operations were carried out alongside ground activities along the forward defence line aimed at dismantling militant infrastructure and eliminating threats to both civilians and troops deployed in the area.

In the Gaza Strip, the IDF said more than 20 militants were killed during operations conducted by the Southern Command. Among those killed were three senior members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, as well as the head of a Hamas financial transfer network and his deputy.

The military also reported continued efforts to locate and destroy underground tunnels and routes, particularly in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, which the Israeli military refers to as Judea and Samaria, the IDF said security forces conducted dozens of counterterrorism operations over the past week. According to the statement, more than 50 wanted suspects were arrested, including individuals accused of incitement, involvement in militant activities, and the possession or trafficking of weapons.

The military further stated that approximately 250,000 shekels allegedly intended for terrorist activities were seized during the operations. Security forces also confiscated a lathe reportedly used for weapons manufacturing, a drone, military equipment, ammunition, and more than 10 firearms, including handguns and improvised Carlo-style weapons.

The IDF added that troops continue to operate along Israel’s eastern and western borders to prevent smuggling activities and strengthen defensive measures.

“IDF troops continue to operate in three arenas simultaneously to remove threats to Israeli civilians,” the military said in its statement.
