Israel launches targeted airstrike on Hezbollah headquarters in Beirut
The Israeli Air Force executed a precise airstrike on the main headquarters of Hezbollah in Beirut, specifically targeting a facility situated beneath residential buildings in the central Dahiya neighborhood.
Spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Brigadier General Daniel Hagari, confirmed the operation during an emergency briefing, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
“The IDF has just carried out a pinpoint strike on the headquarters of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which was intentionally constructed under residential structures in the heart of Dahiya,” Hagari stated.
Following the strike, the IDF is currently investigating whether Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was present at the headquarters during the attack. Eyewitnesses reported a series of approximately ten explosions echoing through Beirut, with significant columns of smoke rising from the southern suburbs of the capital.
