Azerbaijan to join EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg
On October 20, the Council of the European Union will hold a meeting of foreign ministers focused on “Interregional Security and Cooperation” in Luxembourg, with Azerbaijan among the participating countries, according to the Council’s official website.
Azerbaijan will join EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and representatives from Armenia, Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
The discussions will cover a broad agenda, including a new package of anti-Russian sanctions, the Russia-Ukraine war, the strategic significance of the Black Sea, developments in the Middle East, regional geopolitical processes, and security dynamics.
The Foreign Affairs Council will also exchange views on the relations between the EU and the Indo Pacific region and is expected to approve two sets of conclusions on India and the Indo-Pacific.
