Israel launches targeted ground operations against Hezbollah positions
In recent days, units of the 91st Division of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have begun carrying out limited and targeted ground operations against key Hezbollah strongholds in southern Lebanon, aiming to strengthen the forward defensive line, the IDF said.
“These actions are part of broader measures to establish and reinforce the forward defensive line, which include eliminating terrorist infrastructure and neutralising terrorists operating in the area, with the goal of removing threats and providing an additional layer of security for residents of northern Israel," Caliber.Az quotes the IDF press service as saying.
"Before entering the area, IDF forces carried out strikes using both artillery and the Israeli Air Force against multiple terrorist targets to reduce threats in the operational environment.
At the same time, IDF soldiers continue to perform defensive tasks to protect Israeli communities in the Galilee region.
The Israel Defense Forces will continue to act decisively against the terrorist organisation Hezbollah, which has chosen to operate with the support of the Iranian terrorist regime. The IDF will not allow harm to come to Israeli civilians,” the statement said.
