Israel neutralises deputy head of Hamas intelligence
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) continue their Operation Gideon’s Chariots 2, aimed at capturing Gaza City and dismantling military infrastructure across the northern Gaza Strip, the army’s press service reported.
Strikes are ongoing throughout the Gaza Strip. Among the targets, Hamas militant Simah Mahmoud Yusuf Abu al-Hair, who served as deputy head of military intelligence for the Al-Bureij battalion, was killed in Al-Bureij, located in the centre of the sector.
Over the past day, forces from the 162nd Division eliminated more than ten militants in and around Gaza City and destroyed over 20 military infrastructure sites, including observation posts, within the city.
In the southern Gaza Strip, the 143rd Division continues operations in the Khan Yunis and Rafah areas. Dozens of military infrastructure facilities have been neutralised, and a number of militants have been eliminated during these operations.
