Adraee informed residents that from 12:00 on September 17 until 12:00 on September 19, an additional route from the south of the city via Salah al-Din Street will be open.
“Move only along the streets marked in yellow on the map, heading south. Follow the instructions,” Adraee urged.
Previously, residents could leave their homes only via the coastal road, which had become congested with pedestrians and vehicles.
The additional route addresses the overcrowding on the coastal road (Al-Rashid Street), which had been the primary evacuation corridor but became overwhelmed with pedestrians, vehicles, and displaced families, leading to delays and safety concerns. The move aims to streamline civilian movement out of Gaza City, where the IDF is preparing for the “main phase” of operations targeting Hamas militants.
