Israel orders destruction of bridges over Litani River in Lebanon

Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that the Israeli military has been ordered to destroy bridges over the Litani River in southern Lebanon as part of efforts to counter Hezbollah’s armed units, according to Israeli media

“Prime Minister [Benjamin Netanyahu] and I have instructed the Israel Defense Forces to immediately demolish the bridges over the Litani River to prevent the passage of Hezbollah operatives and weapons to the south,” Katz said.

He added that the IDF will still allow residents of southern Lebanon to evacuate north across the Litani River.
