Israel orders evacuation of diplomatic staff from UAE
Israel’s Foreign Ministry instructed most diplomatic envoys stationed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and their families to immediately evacuate the country latre on July 31.
This directive was issued to the personnel of the Israeli embassy in Abu Dhabi and the consulate in Dubai, citing concerns over a possible credible threat.
The Foreign Ministry declined to elaborate, stating, "We do not comment on security instructions given to our employees," Caliber.Az reports per Israeli media.
“This comes amid growing indications that terrorist organisations [including Iranian-affiliated groups, Hamas, Hezbollah and global Jihad] are stepping up efforts to harm Israelis," Israel’s National Security Council said in a statement.
Security officials expressed concern over a heightened motivation for revenge following Israel’s recent 12-day offensive on Iran, alongside ongoing anti-Israel incitement linked to the war and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
