Israel prepares for new attacks from Iran amid escalating conflict
Israeli military forces have begun deploying troops across “all combat arenas” in response to escalating tensions with Iran, Caliber.Az reports, citing the American news agency AP News.
The Israeli military has called up reservists from various units “as part of preparations for both defense and offense,” signalling readiness for potential new attacks. This move comes amid ongoing military operations following Israel’s recent wave of airstrikes targeting key Iranian military sites and nuclear facilities.
On June 13, Israel launched a series of strikes across Iran, hitting multiple locations including nuclear sites and military command centres. The attacks reportedly killed at least three senior Iranian military officers, marking the most significant Israeli assault on Iran since the 1980s Iran-Iraq war. The strikes have sharply escalated tensions between the two longstanding Middle Eastern adversaries, raising concerns about the possibility of a broader conflict.
Israel remains on high alert for retaliatory attacks from the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) or Iranian proxy groups along its borders. The Israeli government has vowed to continue its operations “until the threat is eliminated,” heightening fears of further escalation in the volatile region.
