Israel receives biggest military aid shipment in history MK-84 munitions
The Israeli Defense Ministry has confirmed that a shipment of heavy aerial bombs, recently approved by the US, arrived in Israel on February 15 night.
The vessel, carrying MK-84 munitions — a 2,000-pound general-purpose bomb — docked at Ashdod Port after President Donald Trump authorized the shipment in late January, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.
The bombs were unloaded and transported by dozens of trucks to several Israeli Air Force bases.
"The delivery of munitions that arrived in Israel overnight and was released by the Trump administration is a significant asset for the Air Force and the IDF, and serves as further proof of the strong bond between Israel and the United States," said Defense Minister Israel Katz. "In our last conversation, Secretary of Defense [Lloyd] Austin reiterated the US commitment to continue providing Israel with all the necessary tools to ensure its security. I thank President Donald Trump and the American administration for their unwavering support for Israel - we will continue working together to strengthen our security."
To date, over 76,000 tons of military equipment have been delivered to Israel through 678 flights and 129 sea shipments, making it the largest air and sea transport operation in the country's history.
