Israel resumes gas production at Karish field after ceasefire

Israel’s Ministry of Energy has ordered the resumption of gas production at the Karish field in the Mediterranean Sea.

Operations at the platform had been suspended for more than a month due to the Israel-US war with Iran, which began on February 28, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.

Following the implementation of the ceasefire and a reassessment of the situation, the ministry decided that gas extraction could safely resume.

Earlier, on April 3, the ministry authorised the restart of operations at Israel’s largest gas field, Leviathan, which had also been idle for over a month due to the conflict with Iran.
