Israel says Hamas battalion commander killed in Gaza strike PHOTO

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it killed Mohammed Mushtaha, a company commander in Hamas’s Shati Battalion, in a strike in the northern Gaza Strip.

In a statement, the IDF said Mushtaha had participated in the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel and was involved in holding hostages during the subsequent conflict, Caliber.Az reports. 

The military also accused him of recently planning attacks against Israeli troops and civilians.

The IDF claimed it took measures to reduce the risk to civilians during the operation, including the use of precision-guided weapons and aerial surveillance.
