Israel says Hamas military chief Mohammed Odeh killed in Gaza strike PHOTO
Mohammed Odeh, the head of Hamas’ military wing, has been killed in an Israeli strike on the Gaza Strip, according to sources within the group and statements carried by a media outlet affiliated with Hezbollah.
The report stated: “Local sources confirmed the death of Mohammed Odeh along with his wife and children,” indicating that members of his family were also killed in the strike.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier announced on May 26 that Odeh had been eliminated, saying the operation was carried out by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF).
Auda had assumed leadership of Hamas’ military wing on May 17, following the death of his predecessor, Izz ad-Din al-Haddad.

No additional operational details about the strike were immediately disclosed.
