Israel says it intercepted drone launched from Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) launched from Lebanon before it entered Israeli airspace, following warning sirens in the northern Israeli community of Avivim.

In a separate incident shortly afterward, the Israeli military said an interceptor was fired at a second suspected aerial target detected in an area of southern Lebanon where Israeli forces are operating. The outcome of that interception remains under review, the IDF said, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the IDF, the second object did not cross into Israeli territory, and no sirens were activated in line with standard procedures.

The military described the incidents as a breach of ceasefire understandings and attributed the launches to Hezbollah.
