Israel says it struck Iranian operatives preparing missile launch
The Israel Defence Forces said its air force carried out a strike against Iranian missile operatives in western Iran who were preparing to launch rockets toward Israel.
According to a statement released by the military, the Israeli Air Force detected several operatives from what it described as the Iranian regime’s ballistic missile unit operating in the area.
The IDF said the group was preparing to launch missiles toward Israeli territory.
“Immediately after the detection, an Israeli Air Force aircraft struck the ballistic missile launcher and destroyed it, as well as eliminated the operatives, preventing them from launching the missiles,” the military said.
The IDF added that it continues operations targeting ballistic missile infrastructure in western Iran in an effort to significantly reduce the scale of missile attacks directed at Israel.
