Israel sets uranium transfer as precondition for ending war with Iran
The US and Israel have defined the removal of enriched material from Iran as a prerequisite for ending the campaign, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has said.
Katz said the removal of enriched uranium is a precondition for ending what he described as the US–Israel war on Iran, The Times of Israel reports.
The minister stated that the 12-day war against Iran last year and a more recent operation had “destroyed Iran’s nuclear program and its ability to produce nuclear weapons.”
“What remains is the issue of the enriched material, which could serve as a basis for an attempt to restart the project,” Katz said in a video statement. “Therefore, the United States and Israel have defined removing this material from Iran as a precondition for ending the campaign.”
