Israel signals preparing for prolonged military campaign in Iran VIDEO
Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Spokesperson Effie Defrin has underscored the ongoing nature of Israel’s military campaign against Iran, emphasizing that the recent airstrikes represent only the initial phase of a protracted operation.
Highlighting significant damage to key targets such as the Natanz nuclear facility, Defrin warned that continued vigilance and readiness are essential as the Israel Defence Forces prepare for a sustained effort to curb Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities, Caliber.Az reports via IDF.
Defrin characterized the military campaign, which commenced on the night of June 13, as being in its initial phase, indicating that additional operations are expected to follow.
The army official emphasized that the Israeli Air Force conducted multiple waves of airstrikes targeting a broad spectrum of critical infrastructure, including nuclear facilities, missile bases, airbases, air defence systems, command centres, and key figures within Iran’s military leadership.
“The damage to the Natanz nuclear facility was significant,” Defrin confirmed, underscoring the impact of the operation on one of Iran’s core nuclear sites. He further acknowledged Iran’s persistent intentions and capabilities in the region, highlighting the necessity for sustained vigilance and preparedness.
“The IDF continues to attack targets in Iran. We need to be ready for a long operation,” Defrin warned, signaling a protracted campaign aimed at curtailing Iran’s military advancement.
Earlier, the Israel Defence Forces stated that they have launched a series of coordinated strikes on multiple strategic sites within Iranian territory, aiming to deliver a decisive blow to Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities.
