Israeli soldier killed amid clashes in southern Lebanon

A 19-year-old Israeli soldier, Liran Ben Zion, was killed in southern Lebanon, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced.

“Sergeant Liran Ben Zion, aged 19, from Holon, a soldier of the 9th battalion, 401st Brigade, fell during combat in southern Lebanon,” the IDF statement said. 

Meanwhile, Hezbollah released several statements, including Statement No. 15, noting that a Merkava tank in Baydar al-Fuqani in the village of Taybeh was also hit with high-precision missiles.
