Israel strikes Hamas targets after rocket launch from Gaza
Following a failed rocket launch from the Gaza City area toward Israel on January 8, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) and Israeli Security Agency (ISA) carried out precise strikes against Hamas militants and terrorist infrastructure in the southern and northern parts of the Gaza Strip.
According to a joint statement from the IDF and ISA, during the strikes, several Hamas militants, launch sites, and other terrorist infrastructure were targeted, Caliber.Az reports.
“The projectile that was launched from the Gaza Strip constitutes a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The IDF and ISA condemn any violation of the agreement and will continue to operate to thwart any attempt by the terrorist organisations in the Gaza Strip to execute terrorist attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians,” the statement read.
