Israel strikes Hezbollah construction unit in southern Lebanon after ceasefire breach VIDEO
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed conducting an airstrike on Hezbollah infrastructure in the Lebanese city of Tyre, targeting operatives involved in rebuilding the group’s damaged military facilities.
According to an IDF statement, the strike hit a site operated by Hezbollah’s Construction Unit, which was reportedly used to manufacture equipment for restoring the terror organization’s infrastructure destroyed during previous hostilities, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.
“These actions of Hezbollah terrorists at the infrastructure site constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the statement said.
The IDF added that the targeted operatives were gathered at the facility when the strike occurred, emphasizing that their activities breached existing ceasefire agreements.
Israel has repeatedly warned that Hezbollah’s reconstruction efforts in southern Lebanon pose a direct threat to regional stability, accusing the Iran-backed militant group of using civilian infrastructure to conceal its military build-up.
The Israeli military reiterated its commitment to enforcing the terms of the ceasefire and preventing Hezbollah from regaining operational capability near the border.
