Israel successfully launches Ofek 19 military satellite

Israel has successfully launched its latest military satellite, Ofek 19, into orbit, the Ministry of Defence announced in collaboration with the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

The satellite, intended for military intelligence purposes, was launched from the Palmachim Airbase in central Israel. Ofek 19 follows the previous satellite in the series, Ofek 13, which entered orbit in March 2023, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.

Authorities have stated that further details regarding the satellite’s capabilities and mission will be provided at a later date.
