Israel thwarts suspected terror attack plot

Israeli security forces have arrested two residents of the Shuafat refugee camp in East Jerusalem on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack.

The Israeli police press office said the suspects were detained as part of an operation to prevent an imminent attack, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.

According to the authorities, police officers arrested the two individuals who were allegedly planning to carry out an attack in the city.

Following their arrest, both suspects were transferred to Israel’s domestic security agency, Shin Bet (Shabak), for further investigation.
