Israeli air force intercepts aerial target over Lebanon border area

The Israeli military said its air force intercepted a suspicious aerial target near the border with Lebanon after warning sirens were activated in northern Israel.

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), alerts were triggered in the communities of Ma'ayan Baruch and Kfar Yuval following the detection of the target, Caliber.Az reports. 

“Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in the areas of Ma'ayan Baruch and Kfar Yuval, the Israeli Air Force intercepted a suspicious aerial target identified in the area in which IDF soldiers are operating in southern Lebanon,” the military said.

It added that missile and rocket warning systems were activated due to interception attempts.
