Israeli Air Forces strike Hezbollah positions in Lebanon

Israeli Air Force fighter jets have carried out a series of strikes on bases belonging to the Shiite group Hezbollah located north of the Litani River in Lebanon.

Heavy explosions were heard during air raids on the outskirts of the towns of Mayfadoun and Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, where movements of Islamic Resistance units had previously been observed, Caliber.Az reports, citing Al-Markaziya.

According to eyewitnesses, an Israeli armoured column moved into the area from Arnoun early in the morning, with machine-gun fire also heard there.

During the first half of the day, Israeli aircraft carried out raids on the towns of Meiss al-Jabal, Talloussa and Al-Qantara.

Artillery shelled the Wadi al-Saluki plain, with the villages of Zibqin and Yater coming under fire.

Local authorities reported damage to residential buildings and other structures, with no casualties reported.
