Israeli Air Force strikes Hezbollah targets in Beirut, Nabatieh VIDEO
The Israeli Air Force conducted strikes on targets in Beirut and Nabatieh, targeting Hezbollah facilities, including weapon manufacturing sites, command centres, and intelligence infrastructure.
The efforts were made to minimise harm to civilians during these operations, Caliber.Az reports, citing the message of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
In Nabatieh, the IDF says additional command centers and “intelligence infrastructure” were destroyed. All of the Hezbollah assets were located “in the heart of a civilian population,” the military says, accusing the terror group of using human shields.
Before the strikes, the IDF issued evacuation warnings to civilians in the areas.
Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7, 2023 after militants from the Gaza Strip-based radical Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise incursion on Israeli territory, killing many Israeli kibbutz residents living near the Gaza border and abducting more than 240 Israelis, including women, children and the elderly. Israel declared a total blockade of the Gaza Strip and launched bombardments of the enclave and some areas in Lebanon and Syria, as well as a ground operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Clashes are also reported in the West Bank.
