Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon kill at least 12 despite ceasefire
Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon continued on May 7, leaving at least 12 people dead and dozens injured, according to the Lebanese health ministry.
The ministry said a paramedic and a child were among those killed over the past 24 hours in strikes targeting villages across southern Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports, citing CNN.
It added that 37 people were wounded in the attacks, including a colleague of the paramedic killed in Majdal Selem.
Israel and Hezbollah have continued exchanging strikes in southern Lebanon despite an existing ceasefire agreement.
Meanwhile, the third round of negotiations between Israel and Lebanon is scheduled to take place next Thursday and Friday, May 14-15, in Washington, DC, according to a US State Department official and an Israeli source.
