Israeli airstrikes target Hezbollah position in southern Lebanon

Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out strikes on a Hezbollah position in the Ali al-Taher heights in southern Lebanon, Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reports.

According to the agency, the strikes targeted underground shelters and tunnels in the mountainous area. The explosions were heard and felt in the nearby town of Nabatieh.

Israeli aircraft also struck the outskirts of Deir Siryan, where fighters from the Islamic Resistance are active.

Earlier, Israeli forces fired tank shells at the Zautar al-Sharqiya area on the northern bank of the Litani River. Artillery fire was also reported in residential areas of Maifadoun and Tibnin.
