Israeli airstrikes target Lebanon, two civilians killed
IDF Strikes Hezbollah Financial Networks and Weapons Depots Across Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a series of coordinated strikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, and other southern regions of Lebanon, the military said in a statement.
“In Beirut, strikes were carried out against the assets of the Al-Qard Al-Hasan Association and other significant financial resources linked to Hezbollah across Lebanon,” the IDF press service said.
The statement emphasized that the operation aimed to weaken Hezbollah, which reportedly channels civilian funds to provide financial services for the organization and support its terrorist operations. “The attacks on the association completely disrupted its activities and caused significant damage to Hezbollah’s force-building channels,” the statement added.
In parallel, the IDF targeted approximately 10 weapons depots belonging to Hezbollah in the Beqaa Valley and southern Lebanon, with several facilities struck in the area between the Litani River and Zahrani River.
