Israeli army eliminates Hamas battalion sniper in central Gaza VIDEO

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) eliminated Omar Ahmed Abu Qasem, whom it identified as a sniper from a battalion of Hamas’ military wing, in central Gaza.

Abu Qassem had been involved throughout the war in preparing attacks against Israeli troops operating in the Gaza Strip, Caliber.Az reports, citing an IDF statement.

“In recent months, Abu Qasem attempted to reestablish Hamas' military wing and advanced additional terror attacks against IDF troops, in violation of the ceasefire agreement.

IDF troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat,” the army said.
