The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) conducted a series of airstrikes against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon during the night of July 11.
The strikes targeted multiple locations across five different areas, Caliber.Az reports via IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
A truck carrying a rocket launcher in the Aita Al Shaab area, used to fire at the Israeli town of Shtula on July 10, was among the primary targets. The IDF also struck Hezbollah positions in the Rab al-Talatin and al-Adaisa areas, as well as an observation post in the Ramiyah area and military infrastructure in the Al-Hiam area.
In addition to the airstrikes, IDF artillery conducted preventive strikes against various targets in southern Lebanon, aiming to disrupt further potential attacks from Hezbollah.
Hamas commanders eliminated
In a separate operation, the IDF eliminated two senior commanders of the militant wing of Hamas in Gaza.
Hassan Abu Kuik, Head of Operational Security in Hamas' Internal Security Forces in the Gaza Central Camps, was killed. According to the IDF, Abu Kuik was responsible for numerous terrorist attacks against Israel.
Apart from Abu Kuik, Naser Mehanna, a team commander in Hamas’s military intelligence, was also killed.
The Israeli military has attributed several attacks on Israel to Mehanna's leadership and intelligence operations.
