Israeli defence chief: “The people of Tehran will pay the price, and soon”

Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, has issued a strong warning to the residents of Tehran following a series of deadly attacks launched by Iran overnight.

“The blustering dictator of Tehran has become a cowardly killer, deliberately firing towards Israel’s civilian rear to deter the IDF from continuing its offensive that is crippling its capabilities," Caliber.Az quotes Katz as saying on X.

He added: “The people of Tehran will pay the price, and soon.”

As a reminder, on June 14, Katz issued a stern warning to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stating that if Iran continues its attacks on Israel, “Tehran will burn.”

Katz said, “The Iranian dictator is turning Iranian citizens into hostages and creating a reality in which they — especially the residents of Tehran — will pay a heavy price for the criminal assault on Israeli civilians.”

He delivered the warning during a meeting with IDF Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Mossad Director David Barnea, and other senior military officials.

“If Khamenei continues to fire rockets at Israel’s rear, Tehran will go up in flames,” Katz added.
