Israeli drone strikes kill six Syrian soldiers near Damascus
Six Syrian army personnel were killed in Israeli drone strikes on the city of Kiswah, located near Damascus.
On August 26 afternoon, Israeli drones targeted several Syrian military sites in Kiswah, southwest of the capital, Caliber.Az reports, citing Middle Eastern media outlet Al-Ekhbariya.
Earlier, on August 25, Al-Ekhbariya reported an Israeli strike on a residential building in the town of Tyrinja in northern Quneitra province, which resulted in the death of one civilian.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the attacks.
“These aggressive actions by Israel constitute a clear violation of the UN Charter, international law, and UN Security Council resolutions, and represent a direct threat to regional peace and security,” the ministry said in a statement.
