Israeli forces demolish 80-meter Hezbollah tunnel network

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have announced the discovery and destruction of an underground tunnel allegedly used by the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah.

According to the IDF press service, the tunnel was approximately 80 meters long and contained several rooms that were used for militant activity.

The military said the structure was identified during an operation involving reconnaissance and intelligence gathering. 

“After examining the tunnel route and collecting findings, it was dismantled by Combat Engineering troops,” the army added.

The IDF described the tunnel as part of a wider network of underground infrastructure attributed to Hezbollah in the region.
