Israeli forces demolish over 2.5 kilometres of underground tunnels in Gaza Video

Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) say troops from the 401st Brigade have dismantled more than 2.5 kilometres of underground tunnels in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza.

The military operation was conducted under the command of the IDF’s 162nd Division, Caliber.Az reports, citing IDF.

According to the IDF, combat engineers spent the past week identifying and neutralising several tunnel routes reportedly used by Hamas militants.

The army described the tunnels as having been used for extended periods, and claimed they formed part of Hamas’s underground infrastructure in the area.

Footage released by the IDF shows parts of the dismantling operation in Jabalia.
