Israeli forces detain around 50 Palestinians in West Bank, mainly in Hebron PHOTO
The Israeli forces today detained around 50 Palestinians in raids at their homes in the occupied West Bank, most of them from the city of Hebron, and including Gazan workers who were in the West Bank, according to various sources.
Soldiers detained 21 people in Hebron in the south of the West Bank, many of them siblings, in addition to 13 workers rounded up in the town of Deir al-Ghusoun, north of Tulkarm in the north of the West Bank, and one person a resident of Shweikeh neighbourhood, WAFA reports.
Arrests were also made in Ramallah of a student at Birzeit University in a raid at her home in Ramallah’s old town, as well as another person detained in the village of Deir Ibzi, west of Ramallah.
In the south of the West Bank, six people were detained from different areas in the Bethlehem governorate, including fathers and sons.
Four others were detained from the village of Qaryout, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and one other person, a former prisoner, was detained in occupied East Jerusalem.
